Absolutely you have a choice in Linux - you can choose another browser, you can choose another graphical environment, you can choose an entirely different distro. Firefox is not Linux. Having said that, Firefox is an open SOURCE application. You are always more than welcome to take the source-code, make the necessary tweaks so it behaves to your liking, and compile the browser yourself. You have that choice.
