So the Mac in question is a Mac Pro Early 2008 (2 x Quad Core Xeons @ 2.8GHz, with 56GB of RAM... it runs nice and smoothly) that has been cajoled into running Catalina (using DosDude1's patched installer). I'm using a Logitech HD Pro C920 webcam (one of the few FullHD USB webcams that does actually work with macOS). Previously Skype, Zoom, HouseParty (don't judge me... my family use it), Facebook, Hangouts, Facetime, and pretty much everything else I throw at it will happily see the webcam and use it... but Jitsi Meet just wouldn't even list it. Annoyingly I have just tried both the Jitsi Meet website and the standalone app again and the damn thing is working fine now. Ah, well. As I will be in the office I might as well have a Jitsi Meet window open as well as anything else anyone wants to use for the meeting.
