unspoken rule that
someone has to say Emacs and then someone else of course
has to say Vi -
even if you specifically said "no vi".
I am of course that person - what you want is Vi. There
are no other
text editors in Linux, just poor imposters!

Mint has a very simple text editor called xed which I use quite a
bit for note taking and putting outlines together.
