I am very wary of "dd", so I remove all discs except the source disc
from machine and use a Live Clonezilla from DVD slot, this identifies
source disc by its number, write down number UUID. Then add destination
disc, find its number UUID, write down number. Close Clonezilla.
Restart Clonezilla, then clone making sure source disc agrees with
written down UUID number , and destination disc agree with destination
disc UUID number. Then I clone.
Why, because I use a USB keys for OS and back up 'clone' ( openSUSE
lives on a 128GB USB, for 'dual external booting my old Windows
machine). I lose OS system if I get it wrong!
It is slow but no mistakes.
Sympathy to TOM for rebuild time.
