In a rare and ill timed glitch Debian updates left me needing to reboot to read my email. When my email was working again I assumed it was this Debian release, but no it looks like there was a security patch to Ghostscript yesterday which triggered a libc update. apt-cache rdepends is pointing at cups saying he needs ghostscript and laughing about the state of Linux Desktop security.
