Hi All,
I've just upgraded the kernel to 4.15.0-13-generic and checked on
reboot with 'uname -r' that it is running. I had hope that whatever
broke between 4.11.* and 4.13.* may have been fixed. No joy. I still
have to open a terminal and execute 'sudo mount -a' manually every
single boot. 4.11.* is the last kernel when NFS shares mounted
properly at boot. Distro is Mint 18.3.
Is it Mint that is screwed? Systemd? Anyone else have NFS shares in
their fstab that /do/ mount at boot? If so what distro / kernel are
you running?
Kind regards,
Julian
I think you've just pointed to a problem I have with a machine where it
has indeed stopped mounting USB shares at boot. I thought I must have
fiddled with it but it could be down to a kernel upgrade! Its on Xubuntu
so there may be some common underlying Ubuntu problem!
