I've tried using linux on a phone but not been successful with GUI based things as the screen is generally unmanageable and keyboard entry is pretty bad too. I can plug my phone into the TV and it goes HD and with a bluetooth keyboard it works fine but in normal portable mode its pretty much useless. That being said I find phones pretty useless at anything other than being a phone when compared to a normal desktop. I'm hoping the Gemini(psion5 clone) will change that!
