It's nice to have a choice.So it's nice to be able to choose free software, it's also nice to be able to choose which free software, and its nice to know that there are (possibly competing) alternatives. For many, many years we've had a choice of which init system to use (e.g. I have used file-rc in the past which works well in embedded type systems)
