Tell me about it, I'm off work with the flu so far this week. I was just
presuming that as it's your new PC you'd have either built it or specced
it yourself and would know immediately what bits were inside it. Which
you do, surely?
Anyway, an easy way to get a concise summary is:
inxi -F
You'll probably need to do "sudo apt-get install inxi" first.
Check direct rendering with:
glxinfo | head -n 4
(might need to "sudo apt-get install mesa-utils" first).
Check what gfx drivers are loaded - I'll wait to see your card type
first though.
