NeilIf I were you, reformat it to ext4 .. the journalling will be better than NTFS by far, and you won't run into crazy problems with ntfs-3g / write permissions and other such issues. FYI, I don't think FAT32 supports large (modern) disks, so for hard disks, NTFS is the 'standard' choice. USB sticks tend to be FAT32 though, but then I don't see a lot of 1TB usb sticks around, yet .... ;) MJE
