[LUG] Tracing where repositories are called from

 
I'm running 14.04 LTS Xubuntu and apt-get update
gives a lot of errors (appended at end) saying some repositories (not from this distribution!!!!) not found, I've tried clearing out (sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* -vf) but still got problems so I'm trying to find out which bit adds the other repositories 
Any ideas how to find this out?
