Many MANY thanks for this summary. Brilliant.
I tried BSD a long while ago and found difficulty (regret cannot
remember which version).
I may try a Virtual machine install with Virtual Box first.
Question:
How well does it dual-boot with Windows Vista? If at all? Boot loader used?
I have an old Vista machine with 4GB Ram, originally intended to convert
to and run OpenSUSE in a shortish while; (I keep it as a test bed for my
wife's Vista machine problems). I could use as a test bed or ultimately
just a BSD variant, if 'reasonably friendly' . I am not a
bang-my-head-against-problems sort of person.
