Is chrome MPU capable - can it use lots of cores well? One problem
with FF is a tab goes ape your stuck and have to kill the whole
thing - it would be nice to be able to have the 'app' running on one
core and the tabs being shared around the others so you can kill
errand tabs...
Very much so, as each tab has its own process. The OS sorts out which
core it's assigned to like any other proc.
Unsure if one tab can use multiple cores - can't be many occasions when
that's a useful feature, though.
The thing is you don't want random core allocation - the browser needs
to run in a separate core from the 'tabs' so that it can respond quickly
to the user - if its in the same core as a looping process it can take a
long time to respond to killing the damn thing.
