Now that I have made the changes suggested re pocket etc I find that when I try to log on to the bank in a new session of FF I get the same problem. So I then close the tab and try again and it works as normal. I have Opera as a fall back system. Now my wife has upgraded her laptop and is now on FF v 40. So she now has the same problem. And she does not have Opera installed. Now I must sort that out. Sigh.
