I've seen Gordon's reply and I actually have some sympathy with it, despite also sympathising with the "properness" of having somebody resize images before sending. The reality is that most users can't or don't want to be bothered with doing that. (Although if you really want to follow that train of thought, this is about as simple as it gets for Windows;

I would suggest something like dropbox or gdrive where files are uploaded in the background, and things like images are automatically thumbnailed and scaled by the magical backend, but still allowing you to download fullsize should you so wish. She can just drag them in there and send you a link to the folder, leaving the tools to do their job in the background.
