Gordon, Is it okay if we make a big thing of it? Thinking kind of thing that might help promote the group.
Bigger than sending it to the 200 (?) list members? (How?)But it's on the radio. Episode 1 & 2 are up for listen-again, episode 3 is tomorrow - I spent an hour or so in a dingy hole inside Radio Devon in Exeter about 2 months ago chatting for an hour with the producer (Peter McManus - great chap!) who was in Glasgow... I think what I said in that hour has been edited down to about 3 miuntes - if that with others (Sophie Wilson I think too) and Aleks Krotoski filling in the rest...
The whole series is the thing to promote, but it's mainly about history and who cares about BASIC these days )-:
I was talking to someone about recursion recently - put out my usual: A string reversed is the last character of the string followed by the rest of the string reversed and asked him to write a program to do it. He produced one line of Python that seemed to be line noise (really - it looked like :[] or something - whatever that means - is that programming?)
