My normal response is:
First Name: something to do with the company (i.e. for spam tracability)
Last Name: something else to do with the company
Email address: first.last@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx (if you don't know about mailinator, go
have a look at the site)
Address 1: Someplace
Address 2: nearby
Town: anytown
City: - if it's a drop down list, anything, otherwise "City"
Postcode - this one can stall a little, but "aa11 1aa" always works
DOB - anything > 20 years ago
And yes, I have had some emails with "Dear <original company> <thing I was looking
for>" - sometimes a quick email to both companies "Contact" email address about data
disclosure usually gets a swift response.
Cheers,
Lug, Exeter
