I tend to use OpenSUSE with XFCE desktop, as easy to explain 'visible
upgrades' (I like YaST!) and can install non-FOSS on top VLC media
player and flash. However just for casual use on minimum hardware (less
than 0.3 Gb RAM I install PUPPY or SLAX
