I've been doing a little more research on Truecrypt replacements and
discovered a very interesting forum discussion on arstechnica with many
alternatives mentioned.

Of the Linux alternatives I'm going to take a closer look at ecryptfs as
cryptkeeper (encfs) has been found wanting in a security audit.
