But yes, zero budget is a problem... > > S Thanks both: the powerline adaptor was the first thing I thought of actually but as the property is very big and has been slightly haphazardly managed over it's lifetime, the electrical wiring is a *mess*. One of my first jobs is to try and make sense of just how many separate circuits are in place there - my first glimpse of the distribution board and circuit breakers the other day was not encouraging, to put it mildly. Again, not so worried about the budget - they don't really have one, but I'm cool with splashing out for any needed gear myself, within reason. I'm a little surprised myself that I've never done this before, short of sticking in the little TP-link repeater that came with the inverter for our solar panel installation.
