Hi Tom,

I find that scanners are frequently one of the most awkward pieces of hardware to deal with under Linux.

What is the aim of what you're doing?

My musical ability is zero - I do love it though, I am reading a book on the history of music and there are lots of small examples that I would like to scan in to audiveris to musescore so I can hear what’s going on while sitting in my beanbag. There are some larger pieces that would need to be stitched together...
