I tend to use a downloader to get the videos - if I like it I get to keep it, if I dont I've not really lost anything. Can I do the same in the HMTL version? On 20/12/13 13:16, Steven Côté wrote:
One other thing to try is to opt into the HTML5 implementation of Youtube. Cutting Flash out of the equation has solved every problem I've ever had with Youtube.

OK. Bump everyone else off the LAN and try from the desktop - ie. soIs it your laptop? Try a different computer.
The laptop was fine at my daughter's house.
Is it your wifi? Plug the laptop directly into the router and see what
happens.
Makes no difference. The desktop also has the same problem and that is
connected to the router by cable.
that's the only connect using the router. Same thing? If it works
reliably with x1 user, maybe the router is struggling when more than one
NAT connection is in play...
Much of the time I am the only one using a computer. Today for instance I am using the desktop, my laptop is not switched on and my wife is not using her laptop so that is also switched off. When I tried to use it about 2pm today, same old problem. Other computers also being in use seems to be irrelevant.
Out of interest I have just tested it again, 6.20 pm, and it is working just fine. Come tomorrow morning it could be back to the error message again, or it might still be fine. There is no knowing until I try it!
This is what puzzles me, I would expect it to either work every time or not to work at all.
thanks
Neil
