This is why Phil is the best person on the list, I love winding him up... but seriously, he's just keeping us honest, like out very own little RMS. You can't fault him for being super, super keen on every little issue and genuinely hating everything closed source. I love it when he goes off the deep end and starts ranting :] > Want a recommendation? I recommend people use VIM, and program in BASIC What is wrong with you people? Vi, for the love of god - anything fancier is a crime against computing. And plain old C. I also have practically never used info, although on the face of it, technically it is "better" than man. It's just that man isn't broken in any way, it's always there and it's what I'm used to. Does seem a bit odd that Debian left out the bash info package though. Great tip on xdu by the way - it doesn't happen often, but every now and then I still find a cool new tool hidden away in the repos.
