lsof | grep doc

Not exactly a switch, but it will do the job.

Has Windows been leaving the temporary files in place? (usually either
preceded with a tilde character or with the .tmp extension). They are
hidden files by default so you'll either need to enable the viewing of
hidden files or use a terminal.

Have a check of this page as well: it's unlikely the default OpenOffice
backup directories for Windows and Linux are clashing but check.

You may need to change your fstab line to include a umask.
