[LUG] Simple photoblog

I like to use a simple photoblog. By this I mean a program which I 
install on my web site and can then use to upload and show my pictures 
for the family to see and, possibly, enjoy. I do not mean a website like 
flickr, tumblr, cheesecake etc. I have no wish to share my pics with the 
world, just the family.

In the past I have used pixelpost which worked exactly how I wanted. 
However it looks as if pixelpost has died, at least there seems to be 
nothing new there for a long time now. That being the case I am looking 
around for a replacement. I have tried zenphoto and piwigo among others, 
but don't really like them. I have also looked at atomphotoblog, but I 
can't get it to install. It asks me for the mysql server name, which I 
don't understand.

So, does anyone on the list have any suggestions please? I would be 
grateful for any ideas.
