in alpine, at Setup > collectionLists > Help, you might find a help page called 'SETUP COLLECTION LIST screen'. there, follow the link called 'folder collections explained'. looks like it might be helpful. hope it is.
I can't find anything on Google but I am probably using the wrong search terms.
