Nothing so much as blinks on anything I'm admining without my express permission. Your idea is perfectly sound, but in this case not workable - I need to push regular updates to disparate machines on different customer networks, at different times and on a varying schedule. To fit in with draconian change control procedures (that are mostly my doing), I really have to be pushing signed and checksummed packages via a conventional and auditable channel: ie, apt via cron jobs, pulling from my own private repo. I really don't know why Firefox is such a beast to package properly - there are excellent instructions on the mozilla developers page for almost all aspects of building the damn thing except for linux packaging. I can roll windows and mac versions easily. Regards -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/listfaq
