I've seen quite complex programs written using TCL/tk, but GUI programming is generally a lot harder than it first appears. Not so bad if you set a few options and launch, the Linux kernel "make xconfig" used TCL/tk in 2.4 and probably still does, as a result you probably have it installed on your Linux boxes.
