That's only a temporary measure - they'll get you in the end, and it's a real PITA. E.g. the first time you send an email out with the new email address, then if someone has a compromised PC, it's as good as broadcast to the spammers..
Stick with it. Start to investigate the anti-spam solutions for your mail client and see if your provider has any themselves.
