I used to use KDE myself, for a long time, but I thought it was unnecessarily bloated for their needs.
Yeah, i think xfce is great. Easy to use. looks good. AND is a very close UI to Windows XP (by close I mean the start/menu button are in the same place lol). Light weight too.
Most recently I have been using lxde which is even lighter - very fast. But it is not quite as pretty (out-of-the-box at least), but I am not fussed about that.
In fact, I have now installed Xubuntu on my desktop so we are all using Xfce now. And I am very pleased with it.Now to try to find some friends to convert .....!!
