I've got a freind whose broadband has been turned off by their provider - they are all payed up. The provider says someone has asked them to take it down but says they cant tell them and to get in touch with offcom... who aren’t in today!Surely they can challenge it and demand to know who the other party is? If not any provider could turn a customer's connection off and say 'we were told to'. The only thing I can think of is that the provider has been told it's piracy related (note I am *not* saying any has occurred, just that the provider *may* have been told that) and they've had a court order or other official demand. Even if that were the case though I'm sure you have to be advised of the identity of the accuser. I don't think hiding behind Ofcom is good enough.Any advice? Tom te tom te tom
