I'd be very happy to think that there were people adopting Linux in large numbers whose use was of email/PM, office and web software, and therefore remained unaware that there was a complete set of server software all to hand as well. Until they noticed others commenting on it and looked for a brief note and perhaps initial how-to on server applications of Linux.
