Hi Aaron and allHave also has problem of not closing down properly but with Fedora and different hardware. The problem appears to be, in my case, with GRUB. Holding down the on switch for a second or two, when switching on, usually solves the problem.
Someone with better knowledge than I might understand the underlying cause. Regards to all John.

It dualboots Ubuntu and Windows, however when I run Ubuntu it completely freezes and the only way to turn it off is with the power button ( windows runs fine). On a fresh install it works well for a while then it starts to freeze quit randomly at first and then regularly right after it boots up. I have tried debian and the same thing happens. I have disconnecting the internet, ditto, and googled for similar problems but to no avail. Can anyone suggest a way to diagnose the problem please.Re-Form Furniture AaronMooreConileigh Skinners Bottom Redruth CornwallTR16 5DYTel: 01209 890084 Mob: 07805686188 Email:aaronmoore@xxxxxxxxxxxxxWeb: www.re-formfurniture.co.uk>-- The Mailing Listfor the Devon& Cornwall LUGhttp://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list>FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/listfaq
