Anyone else on the list got theirs yet?  Mine arrived this morning... I've

I've put some initial setup hints here:

Hi there,

Been on the lug list for a while just reading but my Pi is one of the
ones on the map in Plymouth.

I run Linux Mint 13 (Mate) on my main laptop and also have a ClearOS
server setup basically just being a NAS for the time being.

Got the Pi just to have a play around with and so far haven't really
got it to do much.......

Bought a new SD card for it as it wouldn't boot of the original TDK
4GB so got it booting off a Sandisk one now. Now my keyboard doesn't
work, kernel panic every time its hot plugged and no boot when cold
plugged so new keyboard on order....

Managed to get it booting RaspBMC and as no keyboard yet enabled it
for Android remote access by editing file on the laptop it works but
is very buggy but hey early days and all part of the fun!

Oh, something I found strange, with just the Pi, an SD card, ethernet
and HDMI it wont boot fully into RaspBMC with even a 1A PSU it will
only boot from the 2A output on my portable battery :/

Anyway, I've got one, ordered on the 03/03/2012 so not too long for
delivery LOL it did come with a nifty tshirt though :)

Power supply problems.... I've seen lots of this on the forums, IRC, etc. Some of the cheaper 1A PSUs simply can't cope.

Also note that the Pi can only supply a total of 140mA to the on-board USB ports. Anything more than that and the polyfuse will trip.

It really is worth while getting a decent powered hub. I'm using a LOGIK
one - which is actually cheap and cheerful, but it came with a 2A PSU and hasn't let me down yet.

Although yesterday I powered up another Pi by plugging it into one of my Desktop USB sockets... Seems fine so-far...
