I was in no way suggesting we should break the lug up, an exeter lug can exist within the lug no problem and reach out to people in exeter and local area, Rick has local contacts for promotion, sponsorship (as well as the lug) and can visit places to promote things.
Oh, I don't think it will split up either - although the cynic in me says that there's not a lot to break up anyway!!!
However, here am I, almost exactly half way from Exeter to Plymouth off the A38... Exeter and Plymouth are both about half an hour away by car, or (ironically) up to 1.5 hours away by train, depending on which train and the travel to Totnes or NA... Paignton is some 40 miuntes away by car, or 2 train journeys from Totnes or one from NA.
Train to Exeter is about £6.30 off-peak return (I imagine it's the same for Plymouth) however car parking is £5.50 at Totnes, or it's a 10 minute walk to some nearby on-street parking.
But that's not going to stop me going to the Exeter meet as well as the Paignton one - because I want to make the effort, so I will.
