Unless whatever you plug in is the same hardware as the Panasonic (Matsushita) device it's unlikely to do much at all. AFAIK there is no standard way for communicating with a network device over USB. So the host must have the correct drivers. Unlike the situation with USB storage devices. The other obvious reason you'd have a USB socket on a TV. Your alternative options would appear to be a) use a cable. b) connect a wireless bridge (or access point configured as a bridge) to the network socket. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAk82ND8ACgkQsoRLMhsZpFfq7QCfQgaLHgiIWNLAx+pJdjBgbvkK PqoAmwYohP41Mokw0RhKGdARTSHtchnN =Mqra -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/listfaq
