Sorry for late response and missing details. For details of Distro see: www.osgeo.org OSGeo-Live 5.0 (Xubuntu 11.04) Its got a great section of spatial tools pre installed so its purfect for me.. But if eventually does stuff like this. Actual last time i had a few user accounts with good strong pass words but after some time I was locked out of them all. Another is Poseidon linux at sites.google.com/site/posiedonlinux/ I would be greatfull it hear what you think of these two general. My impression has been that security is an issue with the there default setup.
