they can at least log it,  and also warn others.

This scam works because YOU download the software and therefore YOU
allow remote access to the system,  it becomes harder to enforce when
things like that happen.

I agree, user education is the key, I wonder if we can work with local
PCSO's etc and come up with something for community meetings.
