So.... The same question is relevant of most households these days - what happens if one partner dies... In our case we have a plan which involves regular documentation about issues regarding server layouts, root passwords and so on. The sort of information that could be used by a fellow geek to at least extract the data and so on.
Or at least enough to delete facebook accounts...
and every machine has a dvd writer and we have a box of dvd r+s I thought it would be nice to get them to backup their own rubbish and keep it safe themselves. And I thought there must be an easy backup that really is easy and works over disk sets for linux but no it seems not..
Can't you just drag files in a file-manager sort of window thing these days? (ie. from disk to dvd) or do you still need to go through something like xcdroast and all that shenanigans...
