Deciding RAM size for one machine: More than enough. Practically this seems to be 4GByte times 2 Deciding RAM size for all the machiens for a corporation's desktops: the minimum necessary to do the jobs all fo them must be able to do. With an upgrade avialable for anyone's machine for whcih a case is made. Practically that is probably 4Gbytes now? or 2? Difference in cost for a corporation is significant, for me, not. Previous machine was 1.5GBytes, and clearly would have done better with a bit more. Temporary machine was half a GByte and limped. -- Adrian Midgley http://www.defoam.net/ -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/listfaq
