They are pushing a control agenda, and the spec required it can be disabled so not exactly a compelling story. The interesting bit is that trusted software can blacklist keys. That means that the first kink in the cryptographic armour and viruses will be able to say to the secure bios - this key here labelled "Microsoft" don't touch any of their code.
