Ugh - that meant to be.. Budget on NO more than 1-2GB of on-site changes a DAY ...
The other thing that sometimes goes wrong is when someone renames an upper level directory - then that entire heirarchy has to be copied again... I'm sure there might be some smarter way to detect this based on file inode, but I don't think rsync is that clever.
