Re: Mint 8, Atheros AR5001 driver help 1) Package "linux-backports-modules-wireless-karmic-generic" was installed. 2) Wired connection was established, system updated. 3) The module "ath5k" was not loaded, evident by "lsmod" in terminal. Module was manually loaded with Code: Select all sudo modprobe ath5k Wireless connection worked. 4) The file /etc/modules was edited to include "ath5k". Wireless works upon restart with no manual intervention. a snip from http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=46570&start=0 -- Regards Kevin Lucas Minions Post Master(Sub) Eleven Years in the Making! www.minionsbandb.co.uk www.tearooms.minionsbandb.co.uk FaceBook Minions_shop Po House, Minions, Liskeard Cornwall PL14 5LE 01579363386 -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/listfaq
