Re: Mint 8, Atheros AR5001 driver help
1) Package "linux-backports-modules-wireless-karmic-generic" was
installed.
2) Wired connection was established, system updated.
3) The module "ath5k" was not loaded, evident by "lsmod" in terminal.
Module was manually loaded with
Code: Select all
sudo modprobe ath5k
Wireless connection worked.
4) The file /etc/modules was edited to include "ath5k". Wireless works
upon restart with no manual intervention.
