Is there an actual invite mechanism? From what I can see you "share" 
something with someone, and that sort of gives that someone the ability to 
join up...

But I'm told it's open for all now, just go to http://plus.google.com/ 
however it wouldn't surprise me if they were still 'gating' people in by 
IP range, geographic region, etc.
