You want to tunnel through a firewall, you can use ssh:
-L for one port forward
-D for a SOCKS proxy
-w for a tunnelled virtual ethernet/etc device for really fussy apps. See my blog at tuxtor.blogspot.com - there's a post about ssh internet connection sharing.
You could also use OpenVPN over an allowed port!
