Recently I came across mention of distro Knoppix which seems to be abit of a special case. It seems to be set up to be used as a liveCD/DVD and not normally installed on your hard disk.

It also seems that changes, such as installing a new package, arestored and therefore will be there from then on. I have not yet triedit but I can see that it could be useful as a way to show potentialconverts how Linux works, all without touching a hard drive.


Has anyone on the list any experience of this distro at all?
