Perhaps a get-apt-ondemand would be better - a sort of reverse apt- cache so a user could install the package(s) without needing admin permissions as thats already been taken for the master package. That way when a user has been using emacs for four or five years and has got to the level of wanting to test ^g then libasound2 can be loaded on demand.
