Good to see a few more Debian users in the LUG. I use no other distro.
Stability? A recently dist-upgraded Sid install here is more than 4
years old.
Iceweasel and icedove work fine. Debian had to rebuild and rename them
because Mozilla tried to set unreasonable conditions which compromised
Debian's fudamental GPL status. Mozilla addons work, profiles can be
shared, settings and bookmarks imported. Security updates in Squeeze,
newer versions in testing/unstable
It's worth looking at smxi (Debian "swiss army knife", google it) to
easily install nasty proprietary stuff (nvidia, flash, rar...) it also
does office, desktops, kernels.........
Not to mention get-iplayer, it's in official repos. No BBC "spyware"
necessary.
