That makes a nice refreshing change. When I worked at GCap (now Global) internally they did use some open source software (mainly Linux on some of the servers and other FLOSS stuff) but they streamed stuff in Windows Media format. Not sure if they still have as much FLOSS stuff now, last time I visited for a tour they were still running Windows (on the office desktops and playout systems) and the sales team had iPads. I also gather some of the producers use Macs for audio stuff.
