Just as a followup ... I bought the 4TB one and it arrived next day... I 
haven't had time to set it up yet but the build quality looks decent - a 
graphite coloured seamless brushed steel case, plastic front & rear  and 
feel pretty solid. It comes with an external 12V -- 4A Power supply 
'brick' which has a figure 8 mains cable - a PITA when connecting to a 
UPS with only IEC connectors(like my APC's)so an adapter will be needed 
for that.

I was worried that the HDD slides could just be pulled out but they 
secured by way of a couple of screws on the underside of the unit which 
is good.

I will hook it up on my network tonight and see how it compares to the 
other NAS kit I have
